This template is used, for instance, in the [[dining philosophers problem]] article, to refer to [[Edsger W. Dijkstra]]'s collected notes (the "EWDs"), published by the University of Texas at Austin.

There is one required parameter: the EWD number.

The second, optional parameter specifies the title.
