Template documentation[view] [edit] [history] [purge]

Purpose

This is a wrapper template around {{cite encyclopedia}} most of the parameters are described in more detail in {{cite encyclopedia}}, Help:CS1 and Help:CS2.

There are two volumes. Artists are listed alphabetically by their surnames. If no volume number given it defaults to one. The two volumes divide thus:

  • 1: A–K (1886)
  • 2: L–Z (1889)

If the artist's name is assigned to the title parameter, and the volume number is given, the url will link to the appropriate volume at the Internet Archive. This can then be used to look up the page number(s).
