[w] HF allocation created at the 1979 World Administrative Radio Conference. These are commonly called the "WARC bands". | ||||
| See also: Radio spectrum, Electromagnetic spectrum | ||||
This is the navigation box for the International Amateur Radio Bands.
All bands in this template are either mentioned in the International Telecommunication Union's "Table of Frequency Allocations" or the table's footnotes, with the exception of allocations listed in italics. Italicized allocations are de facto international bands, which multiple administrations have implemented on a domestic basis but lack formal ITU recognition. This table does not represent the amateur allocations of any particular country, and any particular administration may allocate less or more spectrum than what is internationally allocated to the amateur service for its ITU region. Individual administrations may create domestic allocations under the terms of Article 4.4 of the ITU Radio Regulations.
Where the allocation is common across all three ITU regions, the table cell is spanned across all three columns. If an ITU region lacks an equivalent allocation for a band, the table cell is grayed out.
If the ITU allocation has not yet gone into effect, the cell background is light yellow.
