Template documentation[view] [edit] [history] [purge]

This template is intended to be used as a humorous notification to experienced editors. It should be used for editors who you have a good relationship with to give them a friendly nudge. When notifying new editors (or if you're not sure how the other editor will take it), just use a standard message or warning template.

Usage

{{Burma-shave-notice
| 1=
| layout=
}}

Parameters

  • 1 - The notice to use (see below). Capitalization doesn't matter.
  • layout - The layout to use, default is "vertical". Choices are "horizontal" and "vertical".

Notices

  • aninotice: Reminder to notify other editors when posting about them to AN/I.
  • battleground: AT WP|WHERE EGOS ABOUND|LET'S AVOID|A BATTLEGROUND
  • disengage: Hint that an editor should disengage from a heated discussion.
  • promo: Comment that a user seems to be self-promoting.
  • sign: Friendly reminder to sign talk page messages.
  • contentdispute: Explanation that content disputes should not be brought to AN/I.
  • section: Informs editors about Arbcom's sectioned talk pages.
