Purpose
CODATA2010/abbrev is for obtaining NIST's canonical abbreviation for a physical constant with a CODATA recommended value. This template defines NIST's canonical abbreviation of a constant as the substring foo of the web address http://physics.nist.gov/cgi-bin/cuu/Value?foo|search_for=bar at which the value of the constant is given.
Usage
{{CODATA2010/abbrev|name of constant}} returns NIST's canonical abbreviation of the named constant. A list of names of constants may be found at http://physics.nist.gov/cuu/Constants/Table/allascii.txt.
Examples
{{CODATA2010/abbrev|atomic mass constant}} → u
