Location of Midi-Pyrénées in France

Module:Location map/data/France Midi-Pyrénées is a location map definition used to overlay markers and labels on an equirectangular projection map of Midi-Pyrénées. The markers are placed by latitude and longitude coordinates on the default map or a similar map image.

Usage

These definitions are used by the following templates when invoked with parameter "France Midi-Pyrénées":

Map definition

  • name = Midi-Pyrénées
    Name used in the default map caption
  • bottom = 42.35351563
    Latitude at bottom edge of map, in decimal degrees
  • left = -0.805065666
    Longitude at left edge of map, in decimal degrees
  • right = 3.774859287
    Longitude at right edge of map, in decimal degrees

Alternative map

The {{Location map}}, {{Location map many}}, and {{Location map+}} templates have parameters to specify an alternative map image. The map displayed as image1 can be used with the relief or AlternativeMap parameters. Examples may be found below or in the following:

Precision

Longitude: from West to East this map definition covers 4.5799 degrees.

  • At an image width of 200 pixels, that is 0.0229 degrees per pixel.
  • At an image width of 1000 pixels, that is 0.0046 degrees per pixel.

Latitude: from North to South this map definition covers 2.9429 degrees.

  • At an image height of 200 pixels, that is 0.0147 degrees per pixel.
  • At an image height of 1000 pixels, that is 0.0029 degrees per pixel.

Examples using location map templates

Location map, using default map (image)

Toulouse (Midi-Pyrénées)
{{Location map | France Midi-Pyrénées
| width   = 250
| lat_deg = 43.605
| lon_deg = 1.444
| label   = Toulouse
}}

Location map many, using relief map (image1)

{{Location map many | France Midi-Pyrénées
| relief   = yes
| width    = 250
| caption = Locations in the Midi-Pyrénées region
| lat1_deg = 43.605
| lon1_deg = 1.444
| label1   = Toulouse
| lat2_deg = 42.966
| lon2_deg = 1.608
| label2   = Foix
}}

Location map+, using AlternativeMap

{{Location map+ | France Midi-Pyrénées
| AlternativeMap = 14-Région-fr-Midi-Pyrénées-carte-R.jpg
| width   = 250
| caption = Locations in the Midi-Pyrénées region
| places  =
  {{Location map~ | France Midi-Pyrénées
  | lat_deg = 43.605
  | lon_deg = 1.444
  | label   = Toulouse
  }}
  {{Location map~ | France Midi-Pyrénées
  | lat_deg = 42.966
  | lon_deg = 1.608
  | label   = Foix
  }}
