Template documentation[view] [edit] [history] [purge]

Usage

This template indicates that an article incorporates text from the third edition Dictionary of Greek and Roman Geography, which is now in the public domain.

Quick explanation (aide-mémoire)

The template can be placed in different locations and depending on the what it is required the parameters can be mixed and matched:

Parameters Example Note
{{DGRG|wstitle=DGRG article name}}  This article incorporates text from a publication now in the public domainSmith, William, ed. (1854–1857). "Antilibanus". Dictionary of Greek and Roman Geography. London: John Murray. Use wstitle=DGRG article name if the article exists on Wikisource if not use title=DGRG article name
{{DGRG|title=|url=|first=|last=|pages=}}  This article incorporates text from a publication now in the public domainJames, Edward Boucher (1854). "Antilibanus". In Smith, William (ed.). Dictionary of Greek and Roman Geography. 1. London: John Murray. pp. 140, 141. some additional information: title instead of wstitle, url to the external page instead of link to wikisource; the first and last names of the author of the article, the volume and page [number]s.

Detailed notes

This template is wrapper around {{cite DGRG}}. In its default mode it attributes text to an article from the third edition of the Dictionary of Greek and Roman Geography.

This template calls {{cite DGRG}} that automatically sets some of the parameters passed for example "publisher = John Murray". Over and above the standard parameter passed into {{cite DGRG}} there are some additional parameters and those are listed below in a separate table from the table of parameters passed into {{cite encyclopedia}}.

Minimum is:{{DGRG|title=DGRG article name}} or {{DGRG|wstitle=DGRG article name}}.

Full set is:{{DGRG |wstitle= |inline=| noicon= |no-prescript= |author= |last= |first= |authorlink= |coauthors= |title= |url= |accessdate= |volume= |page= |pages=}}

Additional parameters
Parameter Note
wstitle=name of the article on wikisource If set, set link to a DGRG article name on wikisource, and unsets title and url if they are also set.
inline=1 Alters the prescript from "This article incorporates text from ..." to "One or more of the preceding sentences incorporates text ..."
noicon=1 Suppresses the lead icon.
no-prescript=1 Suppresses the prescript.
