Template documentation[view] [edit] [history] [purge]

This template is used to create uniformly formatted citations to the Det Norske Veritas and Germanischer Lloyd ship registers.

Usage

This:

<ref>{{DNV|id=28329|shipname=Allure of the Seas|access-date=2025-09-14}}</ref>

Will put this in your references list:

1.^ "Allure of the Seas (28329)". DNV GL Vessel Register. Det Norske Veritas. Retrieved 2025-09-14.
Required parameters
  • |id= unique ship ID. DNV ships use a 5-digit number, while GL ships use a 6-digit number sometimes preceded by a "G". For instance, Allure of the Seas is number 28329 and AIDAprima is number g117060.
  • |shipname= name of the ship. The template automatically italicizes the shipname. Prefixes (MV, SS, etc.) should be omitted as they are not part of the ship's name.
  • |access-date= Full date when URL was accessed; use the same format as other access and archive dates in the citations; do not wikilink. Access dates in references should all have the same format – either the format used for publication dates, or YYYY-MM-DD. See MOS:DATEUNIFY.
