:*[[File:Symbol question.svg|16px]] Recent GA, so I'll skip on quality, but the hook is simply more of a pedestrian statement of fact. It's suggest something incorporating that she was the first Rutgers athlete to be all-conference 4 times, or that she was coached by the Red Baron, or the 2008 player of the year. As in, keep that she is a 2-time medalist, but then instead of the "plays for" do another interesting hook. My personal favorite would be "that two-time Olympic gold medalist '''[[Carli Lloyd]]''' was coached by the Red Baron in high school?" You could even add her photo from the infobox where she is wearing red. For any of these hooks, an inline cite would be needed at the end of the sentence in the article, instead of just at the end of the para. Recent GA, so I'll skip on quality, but the hook is simply more of a pedestrian statement of fact. It's suggest something incorporating that she was the first Rutgers athlete to be all-conference 4 times, or that she was coached by the Red Baron, or the 2008 player of the year. As in, keep that she is a 2-time medalist, but then instead of the "plays for" do another interesting hook. My personal favorite would be "that two-time Olympic gold medalist Carli Lloyd was coached by the Red Baron in high school?" You could even add her photo from the infobox where she is wearing red. For any of these hooks, an inline cite would be needed at the end of the sentence in the article, instead of just at the end of the para. Aboutmovies (talk) 17:46, 28 February 2014 (UTC)
- Alt 1 ... that two-time Olympic gold medalist Carli Lloyd is the only woman in history to score the game-winning goal in two consecutive Olympic gold medal matches?
- Alt 2 ... that Carli Lloyd is the highest-scoring midfielder in the history of the United States women's national soccer team?
For alt 1 with the modification to consecutive, since that is what the source says.
for alt 2. Alt 1 is more interesting. FYI, ref #66's formatting needs to be fixed. Lastly, image is Commons hosted, so good to go, though not the best one to use since it does not look good at such a small size, and if it is used "(pictured)" needs to be added.
