::::* Full review for original hook and ALT2 because article has been adjusted since nomination. New enough (for 20 April) and long enough. All hooks check out with citation #1, where the same prize is listed as Ranjitram Gold Medal. QPQ OK. No problems with disambig links or with external llnks. The article contains a clarification template (when?) to encourage further editing, but it is not strictly necessary to deal with this for DYK. Good to go. --Storye book (talk) 15:11, 1 June 2014 (UTC)</div></noinclude><!--Please do not write below this line or remove this line. Carlos G. Vallés

Created by Nizil Shah (talk). Self nominated at 17:25, 20 April 2014 (UTC).

File:Symbol question.svg Interesting article on good sources, most details from one source, could some of it be found elsewhere also? The hook doesn't make clear that this is surprising because he learned the language late. I think the prize for Ramakrishna Jaidalal Harmony Award might be more catchy, but as you like. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 13:50, 9 May 2014 (UTC)
He is Gujarati language author. So there is not much coverage in English language sources. I have opted out to use his official website as a source but its there if needed. May be adding Spain born Jesuit priest would make it catchy.

Is it Ok??-Nizil (talk) 18:53, 20 May 2014 (UTC)

I like the idea, but would rearrange it:
ALT2: ... that the Jesuit priest Carlos G. Vallés, born in Spain, was awarded the highest literary award in the Gujarati language of India, Ranjitram Suvarna Chandrak?
Also: I don't find it in the source given, and Google is no help, nor is the article on the prize, which doesn't offer a website. Perhaps we shouldn't even link to it and keep the hook short? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:38, 20 May 2014 (UTC)
Ranjitram Suvarna chandrak is in ref1: his official website and in ref6: Google book snippet view. I slightly changed the hook. Regards, it is clear now? -Nizil (talk) 17:49, 28 May 2014 (UTC)
