Article length and expansion verified, no copyright issues that I can see, hook verified by supplied source. The image has a share-a-like Creative Commons license. Nice hook and article, should be of interest to many readers. Someoneanother 02:15, 23 March 2012 (UTC)

This is not correct, once more, but in a different way. You have highlighted a trait of the species, as if it is unique to the species. It's not. It's a trait of the genus.

If the New York Times made a mistake on its front page, it would at least carry a correction. As Wikipedia does not correct its errors, let's be strict and treat biology with accuracy.

Suggested alternative and accurate hook:

I am unable to confirm or deny that this trait is applicable to the whole genus as my sources specifically referred to the common midwife toad, Alytes obstetricans. My original hook is supported by the article and its sources, the alternative hook is not. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 09:02, 24 March 2012 (UTC)

One of the basic tenets of Wikipedia is that nothing is better than an inaccuracy. Please stop posting in an area where your knowledge is limited to producing misinformation.

Did you subtract the points that should have been a minus (for all of Wikipedia, not just you) instead of a plus when you decided that all slime moulds have two mating types? Have you corrected this made up information you posted on the main page? Do anything about it? Lack of factual information didn't stop you then, I guess, so why would I think lack of information would stop you now?

Even if all the genus do the same, that doesn't make the original hook false. If the hook said "is the only member of its genus" then it would be false - but it doesn't. The slime mold hook was evidently an accident, and your continued badgering of Cwmhiraeth is starting to look like harassment to me. SmartSE (talk) 16:58, 24 March 2012 (UTC)

It is false, it is used in the hook to describe the species, and this does not describe the species, it describes the genus. That's how biology works. If something is unique to a genus, don't make it sound like it's unique to a species within the genus when it's not.

Wikipedia's continued badgering of cyberspace by refusing to correct garbage looks like harassment to me. But what's that when there's an "improvement" race being run? 68.107.141.42 (talk) 18:09, 24 March 2012 (UTC)
