- May I suggest some additional hooks that are less technical? "Amorphous solid" doesn't really do justice to such a common topic.
- ALT2: ... that glass production dates back to at least 6000 years?

- Thanks Template:Ping, I like ALT3 but ALT4 would be my preference. I added amorphous solids because I wanted to emphasise the distinction that unlike most solids glass is not a crystalline material but at the same time not promote the myth that glass is a liquid. More suggestions:
