- ... that the Niayes region of Senegal is important for fishing, market gardening, cattle-grazing and birds? Source: "The whole site is very important in terms of human use, for cattle-grazing, fishing, vegetable, fruit and rice-growing and market gardening" and "The niayes as a whole are particularly important for a wide variety of breeding and wintering waterbirds and also raptors."

- Lua error: expandTemplate: template "y" does not exist.
Perhaps another editor could reconsider this rejection. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 08:25, 13 May 2019 (UTC)
- I don't think the hook is terrible, it just feels ordinary: plenty of places are "important for fishing, market gardening, cattle-grazing and birds", and the hook fails to show how the subject is special in this regard. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 02:10, 14 May 2019 (UTC)

- ALT1 ... that Niayes, a region of Senegal important for fishing, market gardening, cattle-grazing and birds, is at risk of desertification?
- ALT2 ... that Niayes, a string of lakes behind sand dunes in Senegal which are designated as an Important Bird Area, is at risk of desertification?
ALT1 and ALT2 are both acceptable (though I think ALT1 is the somewhat more eye-catching hook); French source accepted AGF. Rest of review per Zerach. Should be good to go now. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 14:36, 16 May 2019 (UTC)
