| 40px | This is a documentation subpage for Template:F/. It contains usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page. |
| Notice | This template should not be used in citation templates such as Citation Style 1 and Citation Style 2, because it includes markup that will pollute the COinS metadata they produce; see Wikipedia:COinS. |
Usage
This template produces the notation for f-number, using a hooked f/ as is common in photography. In more mathematical articles, it may be preferable to code the symbol using the markup used for other math in the article: ''f''/ = f/, or <math>f/</math> = <math>f/</math>.
Usage:
- "{{f/}}2" produces f/2
- "{{f/|2}}" produces f/2
- "{{f/|2|link=yes}}" produces f/2
- "{{f/|#}}" produces f/#
