Template documentation[view] [edit] [history] [purge]

{{Hydrus}} is a {{navbox}}-based template to be used at the bottom of articles about astronomical objects beyond the Solar System, located in the constellation of Hydrus. The template is divided into categories of stars, star clusters, nebulae, galaxies, galaxy clusters, and a miscellaneous "other" category.

Red links

Please refrain from adding red links and redirects to this navbox unless you intend to create an article on the object linked. Per guidelines on red links, "Red links may be used on navigation templates with links to existing articles, but they cannot be excessive. Editors who add excessive red links to navboxes are expected to actively work on building those articles, or they may be removed from the template."

Collapsible option

Initial visibility: currently defaults to autocollapse

To set this template's initial visibility, the |state= parameter may be used:

  • |state=collapsed: {{Hydrus|state=collapsed}} to show the template collapsed, i.e., hidden apart from its title bar
  • |state=expanded: {{Hydrus|state=expanded}} to show the template expanded, i.e., fully visible
  • |state=autocollapse: {{Hydrus|state=autocollapse}}
    • shows the template collapsed to the title bar if there is a {{navbar}}, a {{sidebar}}, or some other table on the page with the collapsible attribute
    • shows the template in its expanded state if there are no other collapsible items on the page

If the |state= parameter in the template on this page is not set, the template's initial visibility is taken from the |default= parameter in the Collapsible option template. For the template on this page, that currently evaluates to autocollapse.
