Template:Uses Wikidata Template:Tracks Wikidata

This template displays a link to the iTunes Preview website. This template should be used exclusively for Apps on the Apple App Store.

Usage

{{iTunes Preview App | ID }}
{{iTunes Preview App | ID | TITLE }}

Parameters

The template accepts two parameters, but only the first is required.

  1. ID should be all of the content after the "itunes.apple.com/" in a URL to an iTunes page.
  2. TITLE is optional and is the title of the work. If not provided, it defaults to {{PAGENAMEBASE}}.

Instructions

1. Go to the app's iTunes Preview Page.
2. Copy only the numbers at the end of the url. Ignore the letters "id" in front of the numbers.
3. The page URL should look like https://itunes.apple.com/app/id#########, where "#########" indicates a number.
4. Add to the external links section the text:
{{ITunes Preview App|#######|Name}}
where "#########" is the number you've copied, and "Name" is the name of the iOS application.

Examples

  1. Go to App Store Downloads on iTunes and find the page for the app. For example, on the Games page, clicking on Fortnite goes to this URL:
    https://apps.apple.com/us/app/fortnite/id1261357853
  2. Copy "1261357853" and then add this number as parameter:
    {{iTunes Preview App|1261357853}}
  3. The result on the page Fortnite is:
    Fortnite on the App StoreScript error: No such module "EditAtWikidata".Template:WikidataCheck.

Typically this is a list item in the external links section (even if there is only one link), so you should add "*" in front.

One parameter
* {{iTunes Preview App | 398366739 }}
Two parameters
* {{iTunes Preview App | 398366739 | Boston Herald }}
No parameters
* {{iTunes Preview App}}
