You may use the optional date parameter, e.g. <nowiki>{{Fact|date=</nowiki>{{CURRENTMONTHNAME}} {{CURRENTYEAR}}<nowiki>}}</nowiki>. This helps with the categorisation of articles requiring citations.  Articles tagged with this template without the parameter will be given the parameter by a bot.

This template automatically adds articles to [[:Category:Articles with unsourced statements]].

The simplest way to add this template to an article is to copy and paste <nowiki> {{Imagefact|{{subst:DATE}}}}</nowiki> at the appropriate place <s>or use <code><nowiki>{{subst:Fact-now}}</nowiki></code></s>

Usage

Enter this tag in the thumbnail caption of an image as a request for other editors to find citations for that image:

  1. to let the readers of the article know that the image adds unverified information to the article.
  2. to request that the image follows Wikipedia:Citing sources, Wikipedia:Verifiability, and Wikipedia:Reliable sources.

Note: this template is not for copyright status – only for verifiability of material depicted in the image as relating to the article in which this template is used.

This template is a self-reference and so is part of the Wikipedia project rather than the encyclopedic content.

This template automatically adds articles to Category:Articles with unsourced statements.

{{Imagefact|date=Month and year}}

Parameters

  • {{{date}}}: The date the tag was added.

Example

Input:

{{Imagefact|date=March 2026}}
