Richard Davis is an applied mathematician, physicist and consultant for ROAM Consulting in Brisbane, Australia. He received his PhD from the University of Queensland in 2005 in the field of pattern recognition algorithms. He has been involved in research in Computer Science since 2001, and in Quantum Information Theory since 1999.
Richard also operates a consulting business, specialising in advanced mathematical and statistical modelling and software design.
Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence
Richard's PhD thesis was on improved methods for training Hidden Markov Models, working with Brian Lovell. He is now working in the areas of cognitive architectures and clustering algorithms.
Quantum Information Theory
Richard is interested in the areas of entanglement, relativity, quantum field theory and quantum information theory. He is currently working in relativistic quantum information theory.
