| This is a documentation subpage for Template:Adminbars. It contains usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page. |
This template by itself doesn't do anything. The core of this template is {{adminbars/core}}. Each user's version of it is made with {{adminbars/USER}}. It produces output like this:
Instructions
To create your own graph, follow these instructions:
1. If you haven't already, create an admin stats subpage of the {{adminstats}} template for yourself. You can do this by adding {{adminstats|YOUR USERNAME}} to your userpage.
2. Wait for a bot to fill in your adminstats; it will create a page called Template:Adminstats/YOUR USERNAME. The page will look something like this:
{{Adminstats/Core
|edits=35175
|ed=36603
|created=2
|deleted=491
|restored=17
|blocked=79
|protected=45
|unprotected=3
|rights=1
|reblock=13
|modify=5
|style={{{style|}}}}}
3. Create a subpage of this template. The page title should be Template:adminbars/YOUR USERNAME.
4. In that subpage, paste the contents of your Template:Adminstats subpage. Replace the first line with {{adminbars/core and replace the last line with |user={{SUBPAGENAME}}}}. It should look like this:
{{adminbars/core
|edits=35175
|ed=36603
|created=2
|deleted=491
|restored=17
|blocked=79
|protected=45
|unprotected=3
|rights=1
|reblock=13
|modify=5
|user={{SUBPAGENAME}}}}
5. Save the page. You may now transclude that page to other pages (such as your userpage) by adding {{adminbars/YOUR USERNAME}}
Optional parameters
|width=: You may add|width=in the template (step 4) to specify the width at which your chart displays when it is transcluded. The default is 33em (1/3 of the page width). You may specify a width in em or px; if you want there to be no width specification, use|width=auto(in which case the chart will stretch to fill the width of the page).
