If you suspect an article is a copyright violation, place this tag on the article's talk page. This tag should not be substituted.

Usage

To use this tag, include your signature and the full url of the version that you suspect is an infringement. Because the url will contain an equals sign, you must precede the url with url=.

For example:

{{Cv-unsure|~~~|url=http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Article_name&oldid=987654321|date=January 2026}}

Results in:

The |section= parameter, when set to any value, will substitute the word "section" for "article". The |copyvios= parameter, when set to any value, will add a link to Earwig's Copyvio Detector.

For example:

{{Cv-unsure|url=http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Article_name&oldid=987654321|date=January 2026|section=yes|copyvios=yes}}

Results in:

You can also specify the talkpage section where this issue is discussed like this:

{{Cv-unsure|url=http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Article_name&oldid=987654321|date=January 2026|copyvios=yes|talk=Why I suspect a copyvio in this article}}

Results in:

This template will add tagged articles to Category:Suspected copyright infringements without a source, or a dated subcategory thereof.
