Primary Purpose
This template produces the string "Δ" as a shortcut to using the HTML entity Δ and/or various other operating-system- or web-browser-dependent input methods for producing the same Unicode symbol U+0394 (Δ).
Note. This symbol is not recommended by Unicode for use in mathematics as an operator. Unicode has a mathematical operators block distinct from the Greek & Coptic block; their operators block has a U+2206 (∆) for use as "Laplace operator difference, forward increment, forward difference, symmetric difference". In practice, this distinction is not always respected.[1]
