::Hi IronGargoyle, sorry it took me so long to get back to you. How about this hook, lifted pretty much directly from the article: "DYK ... that Renoir, a crater on Mercury, is one of two with a volcanic plain inside its central peak ring?" And I didn't see them to be contradictory, maybe I'm not understanding the geology either? This astrogeology business is definitely branching out for me. :::* I took a class in planetary geology a long time ago. It was fascinating, but I'm in the same position as you. :) Reference 5 is behind a paywall for me, but I'm going to AGF on it. After reading reference 4 again, I'm pretty sure they are referring to cases where the lava has spilled from the central ring to the outer ring. In this case, either of the hooks is fine. Good to go. Renoir (crater)
ALT1 ... that Renoir, a crater on Mercury, is one of two with a volcanic plain inside its central peak ring? Created/expanded by Keilana (talk). Self nom at 23:26, 18 August 2012 (UTC)
Long enough and new enough with no copyright issues with the phrasing or the image (valid free NASA image). QPQ is not needed as you've only done a few DYKs. There is a slight issue with phrasing in the hook. The hook needs to be mentioned in the article. The volcanic nature of this feature is mentioned in the article, but not that there are several others of the same volcanic feature type (I see this fact in reference #4). AGF on the other refs. I am probably just not understanding the geology enough understand a distinction, but don't reference 4 and 5 contradict each other in terms of the names and numbers of volcanic features?
