Akumajo Dracula for the MSX2 computer was the first "Castlevania" game to feature non-linear gameplay, and it was released concurrently with the Famicom (Family Computer) Disc games Zelda no Densetsu and Metroid back in 1986. The relevance of current or previous comparisons to either game within the limiting confines of unpopular words like Castletroid and Metroidvania make little to no sense at all. The author of this work hasn't a leg of fact to stand on.
