Usage
This template is used to indicate that you encountered an edit conflict when you were replying to a comment in a discussion.
- Adding
{{edit conflict}}produces: (edit conflict)
The number of conflicts you encountered may also be specified as an unnamed parameter to the template.
- For example,
{{edit conflict|3}}produces: (edit conflict × 3)
Thus one can
- document that, if any mistakes (or seemingly offensive actions) where made, the probable reason
- make it clear with this template that one is replying to an older state of a discussion
