30px This proposal was rejected by the community. It is inactive but retained for historical interest. If you want to revive discussion on this subject, try using the talk page or start a discussion at the village pump.

To include a shortcut, pass a parameter: {{Failed proposal|[[WP:SHORT]]}}. For related Wikipedia header templates see Template messages/Project namespace.

Rejected proposals are listed in Category:Wikipedia rejected proposals.

When adding this template, it is probably worthwhile editing the text of the page, as following:

  • Strike-out any requests for comment, voting etc
  • Change phrases such as "vote here" to "review votes here"
  • Add the date that the policy became inactive at the top
  • Provide links to any new proposals that superseded it, if known.
