| This is a documentation subpage for Template:FlagPASOathlete. It contains usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page. |
| flagIOC2athlete exists as an alternate version of this template. It is to be used for athletes competing in any other multi-sport games that are not the Olympics, Paralympics, or PanAm Games. |
This template is used to simplify creation of Pan American Games results articles.
- flag icon for the athlete's nation before the name
- country code for the athlete's nation after the name
- wikilink from the country code to the appropriate "Nation at the year Pan American Games" article
Contents
Usage
athlete
- athlete
- Any text string, usually a wikilinked name. Could also be a pair of names.
- code
- Three letter code as per List of IOC country codes
- games
- the year of the games
Issues
The template cannot choose historical flags, like flagPASO.
Examples
Jane Testcase
Jane Testcase / Dave Testcase
For comparison, the output of Jane Testcase is:
