Usage

For use when two close variants of a name exist (e.g. Yefet/Yafet).

This wiki markup:

{{Hebrew name 2 | hebrew1=A | hebrew2=B | stan1=C | stan2=D | tiber1=E | tiber2=F | means=G}}

produces this:

Hebrew: Template:Script/Hebrew / Template:Script/Hebrew, Modern C / D Tiberian E / F, G

The template may also be used with unnamed parameters. For example:

{{Hebrew name 2|A|B|C||E|F}}

produces:

Hebrew: Template:Script/Hebrew / Template:Script/Hebrew, Modern C Tiberian E / F

Some notes:

  • The hebrew1 and hebrew2 parameters are mandatory.
  • The stan2 parameter cannot be included unless the stan1 is as well.
  • The tiber1 and tiber2 parameters can either both be included, or neither. This is inherent to the expected usage of this template.
  • The means parameter is optional.
  • The order of parameters doesn't matter when they are entered by name (as in the first example above).
