This template categorizes tagged articles into Category:Wikipedia articles needing style editing. This template is a self-reference. This template is not useful for Wikipedia:Subst.

Usage

This template has three optional fields:

  1. article or section,
  2. i, we, first-person (for both we and I), you, or second-person (same as "you"), and
  3. an adverb (like inappropriately or excessively).

For instance, "{{inappropriate person|section|i|excessively}}" results in:

Leaving the arguments undefined is acceptable; the template will show the default text listed on this page.

Alternative

If the problem is correctable with the skills you already possess, consider being bold and fixing it yourself, rather than applying this tag and leaving it for someone else to clean up.

Shortcuts

  • {{you|article}} for {{inappropriate person|article|second-person|inappropriately}}; or simply {{you}} for the default.
