Usage
This template uses {{ISO 843}} to convert Latin letters into Greek letters. It does the reverse of {{Grek-Latn}}, but the output is the same.
Parameters
| Parameter | Effect |
|---|---|
lang=(recommended) |
Fills in the language code for the language templates. Enter el for modern Greek or another code for an alternative version of Greek.
|
reverse=(optional) |
If the parameter equals anything (e.g. yes), it reverses the output so that the transliteration appears before the Greek text.
|
label=(optional) |
If the parameter equals anything (e.g. yes), the template calls upon {{Lang-el}} (or any other Lang- template depending on the input to lang=) rather than {{Lang}}, causing a language label to appear before the ordinary output. This parameter does not work if reverse= is in use.
|
1=(required) |
Inputting a letter transliterates the letter from the Latin alphabet to the Greek one. |
2=(optional) |
Input each letter and space (up to 20) of the text as an individual parameter. Enter diphthongs together. Do not use punctuation. |
final=(optional) |
Does the same as 1= etc. but turns s into ς instead of σ for when it appears at the end of the word.
|
translation=(optional) |
Creates text for a translation of the Greek. |
