Template:Template for discussion/dated

This template adds the currency mark "AU$" linked to the Australian dollar article.

Usage

{{AU$|value}}
  • value must be specified.

{{AU$|123.45}} produces AU$123.45 (with no space between AU$ and the value).

Inflation calculation

The template now supports calculation of inflation. A second parameter can be used to specify a year between 1913 and 2009 and will calculate the relative value in 2010.

{{AU$|value|year}}

A third parameter about will cause the template to calculate to the nearest dollar instead of the nearest cent. This can be activated by typing about=yes.

Examples:

  • {{AU$|10|1935}}A$10 (equivalent to $490.54 in 2018)
  • {{AU$|10|1935|round=0}}A$10 (equivalent to $491 in 2018)
  • {{AU$|1000|1935|round=2}}A$1,000 (equivalent to $49,054.05 in 2018)
  • {{AU$|1000|1935|round=-2}}A$1,000 (equivalent to $49,100 in 2018)

Linking

To link to Australian dollar use link=yes.
