;<big>This template is only used by [[WP:Cite4Wiki|Cite4Wiki]] 1.4 and up.</big>:

For the human-editor version, see [[Template:Author?]].

==Usage==

This template puts the instructions that would normally be (and still are) in the mouseover pop-up tooltip into the actual text of the template, because the template is seen primarily by Firefox users and Firefox does not support the tooltips.

It appears in the application's chrome/content/cite4wiki.js code:

:<code><nowiki>txt = txt + " |last=" + "{{Err|{{authr?}}}}" + "\n";</nowiki></code>

This ''temporary-use'' template is usually only seen in preview mode or immediately after a no-preview save, like the "this template must be substituted" warnings on various XfD templates, and (via other code in Cite4Wiki) will be large and red like such templates.

''If you run into this template'' while reading and editing, please fix the issue it reports, or replace the template with {{tl|author?}} if you can't/won't fix the issue.
