This is a redirect from a conceptually more specific name to a less specific (more general) one. It:
- Is a more specific term that covers the entire scope of the target article.
- Is not already just a subtopic or subsection at the target article (if it is, use
{{tnull|R from subtopic}}instead) - Is likely to be a subtopic if the article content expanded to fulfill the scope implied by its current name.
- Is not necessarily or simply a longer version of the same name (if it is, also add
{{tnull|R from long name}}or use it instead). - May include extraneous identifiers, or simply be worded more narrowly.
In many cases such a name is the result of a WP:Requested moves discussion in which consensus preferred a less limiting name despite the present content of the article.
