This is a redirect from a conceptually more specific name to a less specific (more general) one. It:

  • Is a more specific term that covers the entire scope of the target article.
  • Is not already just a subtopic or subsection at the target article (if it is, use {{R from subtopic}} instead)
  • Is likely to be a subtopic if the article content expanded to fulfill the scope implied by its current name.
  • Is not necessarily or simply a longer version of the same name (if it is, also add {{R from long name}} or use it instead).
  • May include extraneous identifiers, or simply be worded more narrowly.

In many cases such a name is the result of a WP:Requested moves discussion in which consensus preferred a less limiting name despite the present content of the article.
