This template is meant to be placed at the top of pages for categories whose contents are related to portals (i.e. in Wikipedia's portal namespace). Their parent category is Category:Portals. See also Wikipedia:Avoid self-references.

Usage

{{Portal category}}Template:Thinsp produces the blue-backgrounded message box above and the first two sentences within it.
