| This is a documentation subpage for Template:Afc redirect error. It contains usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page. |
A notification template for user talk pages explaining why you removed their edit to Wikipedia:Articles for creation/Redirects and categories.
Suitable for non-compliant edits that are good-faith in nature and does not warrant a warning but rather a friendly instruction.
| This template should always be substituted (i.e., use {{subst:Afc redirect error}}). |
Usage
You may either use:
{{subst:Afc redirect error}} ~~~~by itself for the default message,
or you may add a custom message as an optional parameter that will replace "Thank you.":
{{subst:Afc redirect error|OPTIONAL_MESSAGE}} ~~~~
Twinkle
You can add this template to the custom warning list in your Twinkle preferences:
- Go to § Warn user
- Find "Custom warning templates to display:" and click the Edit items button
- Click the Add button
- In the left field "Template name (no curly brackets)" add
Afc redirect error - In the right field "Text to show in warning list (also used as edit summary)" you could add e.g.
Error at WP:AFC/R - Click the Save changes button on the dialogue box
- Click the Save changes button on the Twinkle preferences page
Alternatively, if you prefer to add the template manually to your Twinkle preferences stored in a subpage of your user page, the end result should look like this:
"customWarningList": [
{
"value": "Afc redirect error",
"label": "Error at [[WP:AFC/R]]"
}
],
