| This is a documentation subpage for Template:Album citation. It contains usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page. |
Usage
This template is used to provide references to two of the sites that display data on albums: All Music Guide and Rate Your Music. It is called by supplying the parameters as follows:
- Album name = name of the album
- Album code = the code used to specify the album. On AMG this is a string of numbers and letters like "10:dpfyxqr5ldse" but on RYM it is created from the artist name and album name, such as "julie_london/lonely_girl/" (note the included final slash).
- site = the three letter abbreviation AMG or RYM
A typical call is
{{Album citation|Album name=Lonely Girl|Album code=r25661|site=AMG}}
