Usage

Normal

{{Albums category}}

Special

{{Albums category|<article name>|display=<display name>|type=[compilation|soundtrack|...]|the=<any text>|discography=yes}}

The article name should only be specified if it is different from that in the category name. Per normal categorization rules this should rarely be the case.

The <display name> is only needed if it is different from the article name, for example {{Albums category|London Symphony Orchestra|the London Symphony Orchestra|.... Alternatively use the=, for example {{Albums category|London Symphony Orchestra|the=yes|... to provide an unlinked "the" before the band name.

type will change the categorization of the category to allow for compilation, soundtrack, and EP categories etc.

Uses of the template with invalid type are listed at Category:Albums category uses with invalid parameters under T.

discography will add a See also section linking to the discography. The link will be based on the category name, i.e. <cat name - albums> discography, so caution is needed. The link display takes account of the and display values if any. The template will attempt to deal with disambiguation, however for cases where it doesn't there is a further parameter discography band name.
