Initial visibility: currently defaults to autocollapse
To set this template's initial visibility, the |state= parameter may be used:
|state=collapsed:{{Asterix|state=collapsed}}to show the template collapsed, i.e., hidden apart from its title bar|state=expanded:{{Asterix|state=expanded}}to show the template expanded, i.e., fully visible|state=autocollapse:{{Asterix|state=autocollapse}}
If the |state= parameter in the template on this page is not set, the template's initial visibility is taken from the |default= parameter in the Collapsible option template. For the template on this page, that currently evaluates to autocollapse.
This template automatically places articles into the relevant Asterix category. To do so it uses the following call structure:
- {{Asterix | <sort argument> | type = }}
- The <sort argument> is the string under which the calling page is sorted in its category.
- type is the type of category. The arguments used for this are:
- book (default) - Category:Asterix books
- film - Category:Asterix films
- game - Category:Video games based on Asterix
- char - Category:Asterix characters
- other - Category:Asterix
Note that normal positioning of this template - just before the categories - will result in the automatic category being placed first.
