| This is a documentation subpage for Template:BVG stations. It contains usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page. |
Usage
This template expands a name to link to the appropriate Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe station article. In most cases the link will be to "xxx (Berlin U-Bahn)", "Berlin xxx railway station" or "Berlin-xxx railway station".
The template can be abbreviated as {{bvgs}} (for Berliner Verkehrs Aktiengesellschaft station), in which case the explicit parameter name |station= is omitted.
For example:
{{BVG stations|station=Yorckstraße}} and {{bvgs|Yorckstraße}} both expands to: [[Yorckstraße (Berlin U-Bahn)|Yorckstraße]].
Discretion should be used on whether to name the place itself or the station that serves it. In railway articles it is generally preferred to use the station unless specifically talking about the place, for example that Alexanderplatz serves the Alexanderplatz.
