Usage

This template is used by Wikipedia:Backlog. It is not intended for general use in the encyclopedia. It nicely formats categories whose names end in from month YEAR so they can be displayed in a numbered list. It includes the size of the category. Since it does not count sub-categories, it is not an actual count of the total backlog, just the backlog in the particular month and year.

Example

To format

Category:Accuracy disputes from November 2025
Category:Articles with unsourced statements from November 2025

as a numbered list, with their sizes, use

{{Backlog count|Accuracy disputes|November 2025}}
{{Backlog count|Articles with unsourced statements|November 2025}}
which displays as
  1. Category:Accuracy disputes (November 2025—0)
  1. Category:Articles with unsourced statements (November 2025—0)
