If a name footnote is already used on an article, use [[Template:footnote group]], e.g.

<code><nowiki>{{footnote group|{{Korean name 2|Lee}}{{Baptismal name 2|Andrew}}}}</nowiki></code>

will display

{{footnote group|{{Korean name 2|Lee}}{{Baptismal name 2|Andrew}}}}

This template can only be used on articles that include {{code|<nowiki>{{notelist}}</nowiki>}} or, if {{para|reftype}} is used, another footnote marker.

Usage

This template is put at the top of a biographical article after the first bolded mention of the subject's name, to create a note to explain to readers which part of a person's name is the baptismal name. The baptismal name may be different than the birth name or the given name. The template will automatically link to the article (if one exists) of the specified name. For example,

{{Baptismal name 2|John}}

will display

[lower-alpha 1]

If the name article does not follow the "NAME (given name)" naming convention, a link can be created manually, e.g.

{{Baptismal name 2|[[Luke (given name)|Luke]]}}

will display

[lower-alpha 2]

Notes

  1. The baptismal name is John.
  2. The baptismal name is Luke.
