How to use
{{CongBio}} allows linking to the Bioguide, using parameter of subject.
Parameters
- {{{1}}} (required) = index
- {{{name}}} (optional) = Name, which should only be necessary if {{PAGENAME}} has a disambiguating name, such as "… (politician)"
- {{{findagrave}}} (optional) = index at Findagrave.com
Format
{{ CongBio | s123456 | John Smith | 7890123 }}
Example
Henry Clay's biography is at http://bioguide.congress.gov/scripts/biodisplay.pl?index=c000482,
So {{CongBio|c000482}} will return an external link to that biography:
- United States Congress. "Henry Clay (id: C000482)". Biographical Directory of the United States Congress.
To use the template without the *, type {{CongBio|c000482|inline=1}}
United States Congress. "Henry Clay (id: C000482)". Biographical Directory of the United States Congress.
