| 40px | This is a documentation subpage for Template:Cfd2. It contains usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page. |
| 40x40px | This template should always be substituted (i.e., use {{subst:Cfd2}}). |
| 50x40px | If you plan to make breaking changes to this template, move it, or nominate it for deletion, please notify Twinkle's users and maintainers at Wikipedia talk:Twinkle as a courtesy, as this template is used in the standard installation of Twinkle. Thank you! |

- Notes
- The header parameter is optional. If it is omitted, the template will create a section heading using "Category:" followed by the nominated category CatOldName or FromCategory.
- CatOldName, CatNewName, and (in cfd2) Category DO NOT take ':Category' or 'Category' in the name, just use the {{PAGENAME}} (bare name) form without the namespace prefix.
- Do not use quotes in your text reasons. The equals sign is enough to delimit your reasons.
- Several reasons can be tacked out and separated on different lines using '<br>' but the text reason cannot contain any newline characters. The closing '}}' will delimit the end of your text.
- You may continue under the template generated text with an amplified comment indented by a single colon
(':')then sign. But do Sign, please! (There is no easy way to check history to see who added what!)
