Template documentation[view] [edit] [history] [purge]

Usage

This template creates a {{cite web}} citation to individual records at the now defunct Australia Heritage Places Inventory, which was a reference source on Australia's heritage places.

Parameters

  • There are two mandatory unnamed parameters
  1. identifier. This is a series of capital letters denoting the original registry, followed by a number. It can be found at the end of the URL
  2. title

For example, the Warden Head Lighthouse record can be referenced using

{{cite AHPI|RNE19898|Warden Head Lighthouse}}

resulting in:

"Warden Head Lighthouse (listing RNE19898)". Australia Heritage Places Inventory. Department of Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population and Communities.

  • In addition, the access date can be specified using the accessdate fields.
  • Error checking is not done at all. Specifying an incorrect ID will result in a link to a non-existing record.

More examples

{{cite AHPI|SA14045|St Cuthbert's Anglican Church|accessdate=2010-09-16}}

"St Cuthbert's Anglican Church (listing SA14045)". Australia Heritage Places Inventory. Department of Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population and Communities. Retrieved 2010-09-16.

Harvard style referencing

This template provides a simple Harvard style reference, using the first parameter. For example, to reference the Warden Head Lighthouse use {{sfn|RNE19898}} or {{harvnb|RNE19898}}, as appropriate. However, year referencing is not supported at this time.
