Purpose
This template enables the citation of articles from the Wikisource project 1922 Encyclopædia Britannica in the manner of {{cite encyclopaedia}}.
Usage
{{Cite EB1922|name of the article}}
or with a specification of optional parameters:
{{Cite EB1922|name of article|author=|noicon=x|vb=x|display=|page=|pages=|volume=|title=|url=}}
Examples
Simple
{{Cite EB1922|Fischer, Theobald}}
displays as:
Chisholm, Hugh, ed. (1922). Encyclopædia Britannica (12th ed.). London & New York: The Encyclopædia Britannica Company. Missing or empty |title= (help)

Using noicon
{{Cite EB1922|Fischer, Theobald|noicon=x}}
displays as:
Chisholm, Hugh, ed. (1922). Encyclopædia Britannica (12th ed.). London & New York: The Encyclopædia Britannica Company. Missing or empty |title= (help)
Using vb
If text is incorporated verbatim into an article, the vb parameter can be used to tack on a notice appropriate to the policy in Wikipedia:Plagiarism.
{{Cite EB1922|Lowell, Abbott Lawrence|vb=x}}
displays as:
File:PD-icon.svg This article incorporates text from a publication now in the public domain: Chisholm, Hugh, ed. (1922). Encyclopædia Britannica (12th ed.). London & New York: The Encyclopædia Britannica Company. Missing or empty |title= (help)
Using display
The mechanics of Wikisource will sometimes require that a link have disambiguation information which is not part of the original title. The display parameter allows this information to be hidden for the purpose of the citation. For example:
{{Cite EB1922|Nicholas (Russian Grand Duke)|display=Nicholas (Nikolai Nikolayevich), Russian Grand Duke}}
displays as:
File:PD-icon.svg Chisholm, Hugh, ed. (1922). Encyclopædia Britannica (12th ed.). London & New York: The Encyclopædia Britannica Company. Missing or empty |title= (help)
Using title (no Wikisource link)
{{Cite EB1922|title=Fischer, Theobald}}
displays as:
File:PD-icon.svg Chisholm, Hugh, ed. (1922). "Fischer, Theobald". Encyclopædia Britannica (12th ed.). London & New York: The Encyclopædia Britannica Company.
When title is being used, url can be used to specify an external link.
