Template documentation[view] [edit] [history] [purge]

This template creates citation text and hyperlinks for citations to the Wikisource Men of 1914 text.

It accepts two parameters which affect the link that is generated; the 1st parameter determines which subpage of the text is targeted and the 2nd adds an HTML bookmark target to the URL which may be used to link to a specific biography entry within the page.

For example, {{Cite Men of 1914|G|Greene, Edward Lee}} creates

Wikisource-logo.svg "Greene, Edward Lee" . Men of 1914 . Chicago: American Publishers' Association. 1915. OCLC 49777827.

Two named parameters can be used to modify this display:

  • noicon set to any value suppresses the icon display.

For example, {{Cite Men of 1914|G|Greene, Edward Lee|noicon=x}} creates

"Greene, Edward Lee" . Men of 1914 . Chicago: American Publishers' Association. 1915. OCLC 49777827.
  • vb set to any value displays a message appropriate when text is copied verbatim into a Wikipedia article:

For example, {{Cite Men of 1914|G|Greene, Edward Lee|vb=x}} creates

Wikisource-logo.svg This article incorporates text from a publication now in the public domain"Greene, Edward Lee" . Men of 1914 . Chicago: American Publishers' Association. 1915. OCLC 49777827.
