Basic parameters, vertical format:

}}

Full parameter set, horizontal format:

{{Cite Trove newspaper
| 1
|title =
|website-link =
|publisher-link =
|date =

|ref =
|quote =
|postscript =

Parameters:

  • 1: Replace 1 with the id-number at the end of the Trove url. This parameter is required.
  • title (or 2): Title of the Trove summary page, typically of the form: Newspaper (State: Year–Year)
  • website-link: Set to "no" use the plain text "Trove" for the website instead of the wikilinked "Trove" – useful to prevent repeated links to the same page in the reference list
  • publisher-link: Set to "no" use the plain text "National Library of Australia" for the publisher instead of the wikilinked "National Library Australia" – useful to prevent repeated links to the same page in the reference list
  • date: Date that the Trove summary page itself was publisher, if known
  • access-date (or accessdate): Full date when the Trove summary page was last verified to support the text in the article; do not wikilink
  • archive-url (or archiveurl), archive-date (or archivedate), url-status: Use these parameters to link to an archived copy of the Trove summary page; see parameter descriptions at Template:Cite web/doc#URL for details
  • ref: The citation's HTML anchor identifier; see parameter description at Template:Cite web/doc#Anchor for details
  • quote: Relevant text quoted from the source. Displays enclosed in quotes. When supplied, the citation terminator (a period by default) is suppressed, so the quote needs to include terminating punctuation.
  • postscript: Controls the closing punctuation for the citation; see parameter description at Template:Cite web/doc#Display_options for details
  • mode: Set to cs2 to use the formatting of CS2 references (which use {{Citation}}); default if not set is to use CS1 formatting (like {{Cite web}}); see parameter description at Template:Cite web/doc#Display_options for details
