Usage

This template is taken from German Wikipedia and is designed to display Internet sources and references in a standard way. It is intended to be used with articles translated from German Wikipedia, so that the references still work. Please do not amend this template, except to conform to any future changes in the German equivalent.

Parameters

Parameter Significance Reference
autor Author(s) The name of the author according to the German name order. Several authors by a comma followed by space separated (e.g., "Ines Doe, John Doe").
hrsg Publisher The name of the company or institution that published the web site (e.g., "Wikimedia Foundation, Inc."; publisher).
url URL The full Internet address (including "http" or other prefix) without further formatting.
titel Title The name of the web page or the title of the article or entry.
titelerg Title supplement The chapter title or the like.
werk The name of the larger work or web site within which "titel" is contained. For example, "Wikipedia - The Free Encyclopedia."
seiten The page number For example, 27–34, 13f., 192 The page number is especially useful for PDF files to find the passage.

If a PDF document about #page=5 appended to the URL that is - if supported by the PDF viewer - automatically jumped to this page 5.

datum Date of creation or publication on the website (if known) Usually not the access date.
archiv-url Address within the archive The full Internet address of the archive without any formatting (such as an archive URL hosted by https://www.webcitation.org/ or https://archive.org/ ).
archiv-datum Filing date The time at which the page was stored in the archive.
zugriff Date of access Time at which the cited information has been read. Requires "url".
sprache Language of the Internet resource Here, the language in which the source is written in the form of a language code according to ISO 639-1. Or you can write the language in full as "German" (or other language).
format Format of the target For example, PDF, DOC, PNG for scans. It is assumed HTML if nothing is specified. Especially with large PDF files is to specify the size (in MB) is desired so that the reader can still decide whether to download worthwhile. Requires "url".
kommentar Additional comments on the link An additional note, for example, comments on the content of the website, which is assumed when you visit the links, etc.
zitat Quotation from the page cited Since items can be very large, it is sometimes useful to quote directly from the text of the web page. The original language quotation can be used or translated.
offline The page is no longer available online. If a page is no longer available, but will remain an important source of reference or part of the article, you can do this with "offline=ja". This option does not work with archiv-url.
