Please do not use this template when there are only one or a few cases that need to be marked up, and the language is clearly apparent. Instead, just add the {{tlx|lang}} template with the correct code. You can get the code from the infobox at the language's article, e.g. [[Latin]] or [[Manx language]].

Usage

Place {{Cleanup lang|article|date=December 2025}} on articles with non-English text that do not yet use {{Lang}}. If a section in an article does not use {{lang}}, place {{Cleanup lang|section|date=December 2025}} there.

Adds articles to Category:Pages with non-English text lacking appropriate markup, or a dated subcategory thereof.

This template is intended primarily for:

  • Articles with a lot of non-English markup in them that is not marked up with language codes yet.
  • Articles with unidentified non-English in them.

When not to use

Please do not use this template when there are only one or a few cases that need to be marked up, and the language is clearly identified. Instead, just add the {{lang}} template with the correct code. You can get the code from the infobox at the language's article, e.g. Latin or Manx language.
