Usage
Template {{Comets}}, in its autocollapsed state, should always be added if an article is about a single cometary object. It should be placed between the external links and categories. For numbered comets the template comes before {{PeriodicComets Navigator}}. Using this template automatically adds the page to Category:Cometary object articles. (Use the template with |nonobject=yes for articles that are not about a single cometary object; to exclude it from auto-categorization.)
Initial visibility: currently defaults to autocollapse
To set this template's initial visibility, the |state= parameter may be used:
|state=collapsed:{{Comets|state=collapsed}}to show the template collapsed, i.e., hidden apart from its title bar|state=expanded:{{Comets|state=expanded}}to show the template expanded, i.e., fully visible|state=autocollapse:{{Comets|state=autocollapse}}
If the |state= parameter in the template on this page is not set, the template's initial visibility is taken from the |default= parameter in the Collapsible option template. For the template on this page, that currently evaluates to autocollapse.
- Note: The "Lists" section will display in a collapsed state by default. Use
{{Comets|Lists}}to open the "Lists" section. This may also be used in conjunction with thestate =named parameter, as described above.
